Ironing board cover size guide

Two quick measurements — length and width — tell you whether the ROBINAZ ironing board cover will fit your board. It is listed for UK boards of 125 × 45 cm and 122 × 38 cm.

Fitting steps for the ROBINAZ cover on a measured UK ironing board

What size ironing board cover do I need?

Measure the top of your board from the pointed nose to the flat end, then across its widest point. Most UK household boards are 125 × 45 cm or 122 × 38 cm, and the ROBINAZ cover fits both sizes, using its elasticated edge, drawcord and two underboard straps to pull it taut.

Standard size

125 × 45 cm

Fits most full-size UK household ironing boards. See the cover details.

Compact size

122 × 38 cm

Fits smaller flat-friendly or travel boards.

What if my board is between sizes?

If your board is between 122 cm and 125 cm long, the standard ROBINAZ cover will fit, because the elasticated edge and drawcord take up a small amount of variation. For boards noticeably larger than 125 × 45 cm, or small tabletop boards, you will need a size-specific cover instead.

Quick tip: add 5–10 cm to your measurement to account for the elasticated edge that tucks under the board.

How do I measure my ironing board step by step?

Fold the board flat and remove the old cover. With a soft tape measure, take the length from the pointed nose to the flat end, then the width across the widest point. Write both numbers down before comparing sizes.

Measure the board itself rather than the old cover, which may have stretched. On curved edges, use the widest span, not an average. Our guide how to measure your ironing board for a cover has more detail.

Which size if my board is 122 x 45 cm?

We do not list 122 × 45 cm as a size, so we cannot promise the cover fits it. Measure again carefully and compare with the two listed sizes above. If you are still unsure, email info@robinaz.co.uk with your measurements before ordering.

How does the cover stay on the board?

The cover uses a nose pocket over the pointed end, an elasticated edge with a drawcord, and two adjustable underboard straps. Tighten the drawcord and straps until the cover sits flat with no wrinkles.
