Ironing Board Cover in Cambridge
Cambridge's mix of college-owned housing, shared student houses and family homes in Trumpington, Cherry Hinton and Chesterton means a lot of boards change hands between tenants. Many are older and well used, and a worn cover is the simplest thing to replace.
Why Cambridge customers choose ROBINAZ
Cambridgeshire has some of the hardest tap water in the UK, so descaling a steam iron regularly matters, and any flaking can show on a pale cover. Choose a cover you can wash easily: this one is machine washable at 30°C, with a cotton top and felt and foam padding beneath. The non-slip base and straps keep it in place on older boards.

Good to know in Cambridge
- Cambridge water is generally very hard; descale your iron regularly and use the water your manual recommends.
- If you move between lets each year, check whether the next board is 125 x 45 cm or 122 x 38 cm before buying.
- Wash the cover at 30°C and air dry.
The 4-layer padded design
Cotton top layer
Smooth cotton surface glides cleanly under a hot iron.
Felt padding
Roughly 6–7 mm of felt cushions the board frame so it doesn't imprint on darker fabrics.
Foam layer
Adds bounce and helps steam disperse evenly through the fabric.
Non-slip backing
Holds the cover in place on the board frame during longer ironing sessions.
Size guide before ordering
The ROBINAZ cover fits UK standard boards — typically 122×38 cm and 125×45 cm. Measure the top surface of your board (length × width at widest) before ordering. If your board is between sizes, our size guide shows how the elastic edge accommodates a small margin of variation.
