Ironing Board Cover in Sheffield
Sheffield's housing ranges from Victorian terraces in Nether Edge and Crookes to stone-built homes on the hills and newer flats in the city centre. Many homes have a spare bedroom or cellar space where the board stays set up, so the cover gets steady use.
Why Sheffield customers choose ROBINAZ
Sheffield's water, drawn largely from Peak District reservoirs, is generally soft, which is easier on steam irons. The 4-layer cover, with felt and foam beneath a cotton surface, suits the mix of shirts, school uniforms and bedding that a busy household presses. A full elastic edge keeps it in place without clips.

Good to know in Sheffield
- Water in Sheffield is generally soft; follow your iron's manual for the right water type.
- If your board lives in a cold cellar or outbuilding, let the cover dry fully after washing before refitting it.
- Replace the cover every few years, or sooner if the surface shines or the padding flattens.
The 4-layer padded design
Cotton top layer
Smooth cotton surface glides cleanly under a hot iron.
Felt padding
Roughly 6–7 mm of felt cushions the board frame so it doesn't imprint on darker fabrics.
Foam layer
Adds bounce and helps steam disperse evenly through the fabric.
Non-slip backing
Holds the cover in place on the board frame during longer ironing sessions.
Size guide before ordering
The ROBINAZ cover fits UK standard boards — typically 122×38 cm and 125×45 cm. Measure the top surface of your board (length × width at widest) before ordering. If your board is between sizes, our size guide shows how the elastic edge accommodates a small margin of variation.
