Ironing Board Cover in Southampton
Southampton combines student housing around Portswood and Highfield with family homes in Bitterne, Shirley and Woolston, and flats near the waterfront. Ironing set-ups range from a proper utility space to a board put up in a bedroom.
Why Southampton customers choose ROBINAZ
Hampshire's water comes through chalk and is generally hard, so a steam iron in Southampton benefits from regular descaling. A washable 4-layer cover then gives you a clean surface to work on: cotton on top, felt and foam padding for cushioning, and a non-slip base. The elastic edge and straps help keep it fitted on older boards.

Good to know in Southampton
- Southampton water is generally hard; descale your steam iron regularly.
- Boards in rented homes are often older, so check the dimensions before choosing the cover size.
- Wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle and air dry.
- Check the cover lies flat with no wrinkles before you start ironing, as creases in the cover can mark the garment.
The 4-layer padded design
Cotton top layer
Smooth cotton surface glides cleanly under a hot iron.
Felt padding
Roughly 6–7 mm of felt cushions the board frame so it doesn't imprint on darker fabrics.
Foam layer
Adds bounce and helps steam disperse evenly through the fabric.
Non-slip backing
Holds the cover in place on the board frame during longer ironing sessions.
Size guide before ordering
The ROBINAZ cover fits UK standard boards — typically 122×38 cm and 125×45 cm. Measure the top surface of your board (length × width at widest) before ordering. If your board is between sizes, our size guide shows how the elastic edge accommodates a small margin of variation.
